چکیده

Abstract Background Targeted optical imaging offers a noninvasive and accurate method for the early detection of gastrointestinal tumors, especially flat appearances. In our previous study, sequence SNFYMPL (SNF) was identified as specific peptide to bind esophageal carcinoma using phage-display technology. This study aimed evaluate tumor-targeting efficacy Cy5.5-conjugated SNF probe in vitro vivo. Methods The SNF-Cy5.5 synthesized then High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) mass spectrometry (MS). Confocal fluorescence Flow cytometry analysis were performed binding specificity receptor affinity OE33. vivo targeting ability carcinoma. Results confocal flow showed that bound specifically plasma membrane OE33 cells with high affinity. vivo, non-block group, exhibited rapid tumor during 24 h p.i. excellent tumor-to-background contrast at 2 For block not observed mice after 4 Ex also revealed higher fluorescent signal intensity value tumors clearly group than (2.6 ± 0.32 × 10 9 vs. 0.8 0.08 , p < 0.05). Conclusions characterized efficiency purity. affinity, specificity, confirmed by tests. is promising adenocarcinoma.

Near-infrared fluorescent imaging of tumor apoptosis.

Noninvasive imaging using radioactive annexin V is an emerging strategy for the assessment of cell death in vivo (F. G. Blankenberg, and H. W. Strauss. Apoptosis, 6: 117-123, 2001.). Therefore, we investigated whether annexin V labeled with the fluorophore Cy5.5 (Cy) could serve as a probe for imaging of tumor apoptosis using near infrared fluorescence (NIRF). We prepared active Cy-annexin (an ...

Near-infrared fluorescent nanoGUMBOS for biomedical imaging.

Herein, we report on near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent nanoparticles generated from an emergent class of materials we refer to as a Group of Uniform Materials Based on Organic Salts (GUMBOS). GUMBOS are largely frozen ionic liquids, although the concept is more general and is also easily applied to solid ionic materials with melting points in excess of 100 degrees C. Nanoparticles based on GUMBOS...

In vivo inflammation imaging using a CB2R-targeted near infrared fluorescent probe.

Chronic inflammation is considered as a critical cause of a host of disorders, such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, atherosclerosis, and neurodegenerative diseases, although the exact mechanism is yet to be explored. Imaging tools that can specifically target inflammation are therefore important to help reveal the role of inflammation in disease progression, and allows for developing new thera...

Novel near-infrared fluorescent integrin-targeted DFO analogue.

Desferrioxamine (DFO), a siderophore initially isolated from Streptomyces pilosus, possesses extraordinary metal binding properties with wide biomedical applications that include chelation therapy, nuclear imaging, and antiproliferation. In this work, we prepared a novel multifunctional agent consisting of (i) a near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent probe-cypate; (ii) an integrin alpha vbeta3 recepto...

Near-Infrared Fluorescent Dyes

Near-infrared (near-IR, NIR) dyes offer important advantages over traditional visible light dyes. Because cellular or tissue components produce minimal autofluorescence in the near-IR region, near-IR dyes have the potential to offer highly specific and sensitive detection in complex biological systems. Also, because light with wavelength in the near-IR region has strong tissue penetration, near...
